Mine's been in since the start of the month - just making a place here to grouse and whine for all our American users. I'm getting some back, which just means the (self-censored) have been holding my money all year. (fumes)

Waiting for the inevitable local news report standup from the Midnight line at the local post office Tuesday night.

Mate, if you don't like the IRS holding your cash, then change your filing status so you pay the correct amount through the year!

I've overdone that...so now I owe every year. But I can't bring myself to make my paychecks smaller. I keep thinking I'm going to have a windfall by the middle of April that never comes.

We try to hit it right on the money, and my wife is an accountant who does our taxes - we have lots of mumbo-jumbo connected with trades this year, etc. I resent every buck we're off, and don't want them holding our $ and she just doesn't want to owe at the end. I yield to her wishes. (there's a great lesson in this) And the beat goes on (resumes fume... with bourbon, it's not that bad)
 
The IRS gets theirs from our household each year but like I always say, "If you're paying a good amount in taxes, then you're making money." I don't mind the taxes that much. It's how they spend it that I think could be improved.
