Tattoos

Watching the WC it appears that more and more players have their arms tattooed, a practise started by Beckham. Now me okay getting on in years just like DaveK (where is he?) so these decorations do nothing for me. I just think the players are being a bit silly. The patterns one sees are quite bewildering but what are they going to be like in say 20/30/40/50 years hence. Will there be a period when they will not be fashionable and the persons who have tatoos be ridiculed?

Perhaps folk on here indulge themselves with this skin decoration. What do you think? would you go down this road if you have none now? thoses who have tattoos what is your reason and view? BTW what is the point of a tattoo on your back which you can't see?

Please enlighten me and others who think about these things.

I'd be annoyed if I was someone who'd got one years ago as the popularity of sleeve tattoos in particular has rocketed. They're everywhere.

Tattoos on hands/fingers are the worst. Makes you look like smack head and an attention seeking one at that.

When I was younger a neck tatoo was very uncommon apart from rough arses. Now loads have them.

Can't help but think that tattoos look a bit strange on these skinny lads. Obviously they have them done thinking "this will make me look dead hard" - not when you weigh ten stone dripping wet they won't.

At the end of the day it's a bit of ink in their skin, it doesn't stop them getting a good hiding. The trying to look tough look has never really impressed me.

I don't understand when people put the names of their children though you would have to have a very poor memory to forget your childrens names however each to their own in my opinion not got tattoo's myself

It just makes you look like an utter bell imo
