Anything like this to me is just bogus. You already have the thought in your head this is just a way to legitimise it. Like when people read horoscopes and then actively think about things they can attach to it to make it seem true.

Carl Jung led me to this, though I tend to use the I Ching rather than cards on the rare occasions I do something like this.
They do not tell the future, but if you have a question or decision to make they can help you look at it from a different angle. Same thing by different names can be seen in meditation, counselling, play therapy, design thinking, crystal ball gazing, prayer - anything that gets you "thinking outside the box" as the priests of today's religion call it.

And to anyone sceptical about how someone could possibly influence the selected cards - side-note here that the observer affecting the observed is an established principle in quantum physics, not that any “magic”
is really required for the cards to work in the manner described above - you may find this book interesting
