So what did you go for?

i went for the bacon/egg toastie then went back to scran the leftover pizza within half an hour. I have no regrets

Whilst shaving every morning I say to myself, " Oh, that'll do", when boredom consumes me. Is this the start of the slippery slope to dribbling and shouting at invisible people in shopping precincts ?

Yep...but it takes a few years and plenty of meths

I do this with reckless abandon lately.

In fact, I often have full blown arguments with myself wherein I deride myself for suggesting ridiculous things.

As though there are two consciousnesses there...
