I still don't get how vinyl records work. You can get this amazing expansive sound, a whole orchestra, with each instrument defined in perfect clarity, from a needle running along a groove.

And I don't get how computers and micro-chips work. How can running some electric current across some silicon allow it end up doing such amazingly complex stuff?

and those dishes spaced about 30 metres apart and you whisper into one of them and your child (or stoned mate) sited at the other one can hear EVERYTHING you say....

I'm expecting 100 TB's of high speed network storage.

Need it you see.

I'm also waiting on 50 pc's with 64 GB RAM and 32 cores.

And just got 30 Mac Pro's with 64 GB RAM, 12 physical cores and 1 TB SSD's.

And I complain because things are too slow and worry that I didn't order enough.

As soon as I get new PC hardware for my job, its too slow and cumbersome.
