blue to the bone

Player Valuation: £80m
We are a very very average side.
We have one player who would be close to a regular in the top 6. Lukaku when he wants to be. Coleman maybe be a starter every now and then for a couple of the sides. Other than that no.
But that does not excuse a lack of effort or intensity. Compare our performance with that of bournmouth just before it. They lost but they had a go and tried hard.
Watching us play now gives very little entertainment at all.
Managers change but performance and attitude dont.
I would not be one bit upset if we sold anyone of our squad. And that's not a nice thing to say. Usually there are players you love who get everton. Of this bunch hard to see who these are.. Maybe Coleman, barry and baines but 2 of these are gone past it.
It's hard to be optimistic. The reality is we are not very good at all

Until we get rid of Lukaku, stop buying luxury players and aim for a consistent gameplan with consistent players, we'll get performances like this time and time again.

There's no cohesion whatsoever, because we never have a reliable outball to build from.

Badly need to cash in on Lukaku, and it can't come soon enough because the longer he plays for us, the more glaring his flaws will become and his value could plummet.

I don't think anyone can deny that this team is bang average at best.

Gone from the so called best squad in generations to this utter splurge in two years.
Plenty think we are better then we are though. We have players that fans overrate. Every club does that but we have players on a par with likes of Southampton , West Brom, Stoke etc. That's what we have unfortunately

I'm beginning to think this myself. Sometimes he's very good, but we have become so dependant on him. The trouble is, is that he knows it too and treats us like we should be grateful to have him.
Something is going on in that dressing room, the players simply don't care, Rom certainly doesn't care.
Hard to take this lot.
I think it's time to go with the kids, we can't get any worse.

We are dependant on him in the wrong way though, because we play to all his negatives and none of his positives.

We simply have to get rid at this point. If a good bid comes in in January, we should jump at it. It's not 100% his fault that he's terrible for us in general play, because we should never be playing him as we do (we should have brought in a playmaker or second striker a good two years ago to do the work we're asking Lukaku to do, because he simply cannot do it), but if a club is stupid enough to pump £50m+ into a player who can't trap a ball or pass it five yards then we should be cashing in all day long.

Everyone underestimated the effectiveness of Moyes. He got better results than Martinez/Koeman with half the money and half the talent.

No one underestimated Moyes. He was a genius and a motivated man in his first five or so years here.

The problem was the last five or so years. He was not a winner, afraid to take risks and he could have been here another 20 years and won nothing. He fell into the trap of preserving his own reputation instead of trying to continually enhance it.

What we have now is a situation where we simply hired the wrong man after him. Martinez didn't push on from the base Moyes left - instead, he dismantled it.

I'm sorry but lukaku is not a problem.

Perhaps if we had anybody as an attacking option or competent creative players then it wouldn't be so glaringly so one dimensional?

I mean seriously, we have a top striker for the first time since linker and people want to lay blame on the striker yet moan no one creates anything for him all because he doesn't run round enough?

We deserve to lose llukaku, only for all these fans on his back to see what we actually end up with replacing him with and then we really will be a crap team
