If I was a fan of a team down south, and my team were playing Man Utd, I would quite conceivably have an ipad for the journey up to Manchester to pass the time. This is going to make it very difficult now, unless they have a secure spot for storing it until after the game

I haven't a clue why anyone would take a tablet to the game.
But I don't believe they should be banned. You're messing with people's freedom. Why should someone be stopped from taking a tablet to a game?
It's their own choice whether they want to spend half the match filming, or tweeting.

They probably Skype the match to betting groups around the world who then make a killing............but really, who gives a crap.......

It was on Look North news tonight, that anyting other than mobiles are banned. Not sure how they are goping to enforce it but the band has now been made public. The reason given is said to be nothing to do with copyright but security that is the warning they have received from intelligence but the Police and others say nothing has been advised to Man U!

I'm good with the anti daytrippedness, but I feel the Clubs mentioned United and Burnley are doing the right thing for the wrong reasons and there are just too many 'Jobsworths' out there.
I can sympathise with the day trippers though, you've come all that way ( or not ) paid all that money ( or not)... but they do seem to get carried away with the whole modern day techno stuff... whats up with memory, soaking it all up, being there.

For all the good they've done me I might as well have stuck them up my arse.
