At the end of the season we will have Jagielka and Stones with experience in central defence and also Browning and Galloway to come through.

Intresting to see if they get minutes this season as potentially galloway is another stones.

In my opinion the pressing need is for a goalkeeper and a left footed centre back in his mid twenties. I'd send Atsu back in January as he isn't gonna get the game time Chelsea want him to get. Distin is finished and Howard is a liability.

Thats how I see it in the next 2 years, so we need a top GK, and a top LM, as well as decent squad additions at CM, RB, ST and possibly LM if Atsu doesn't sign.​

The players have not got bad overnight we still have the best squad ever in the premier league.
The worry is the managing of the players.
They are unfit,the tactics are not working and the main worry for me is how the bulk of the squad are going backwards performance wise.
Yes we have had injuries and players off form but not so many.
Look at the players who are going backwards performance wise this season.
barkley,lukaku,pienaar,jags,barry,osman,howard,distin,coleman,gibson and even baines was better last season.
The question is why are their performances dipping well below last season?

Barkley and lukaku it seems were tired. Coleman and Baines have had Injuries to stop/start their seasons.

Pienaar/barry/osman/howard/distin are no spring chickens and could be finished at this level.

Gibson is just permanently crocked or getting back to fitness.

I think we need rid of Atsu. Martinez clearly doesn't rate him otherwise he would have been more involved and he's taking up a loan space. If we can cut his loan short in January I think we need to get in another winger or maybe 2 on loan. Next summer is going to be important. I can't see pienaar and maybe even Gibson staying next season and Mirallas' contract is still up on the air. We're going to have a few players who will need replacing and as ever we need to improve our squad depth if we want to make Europe a regular thing.
