I refused too. They were shocked. I told them smart meters are a farce and to take me off the list!!

Any way. We rewired our house and fitted led bulbs throughout. Our electric bill is less than £10 a week now. And that's with three kids!

the water wanted to fit 1 & sent me a letter saying theyd go to court to get permission to get a locksmith to gain entry.

I rang & informed them that as a locksmith myself i know for fact that it wouldnt get past a magistrate, i owe no money & never have, i dont have to have 1, it wont fit in the space due to a shelf. I also informed them that having had my houses security breached i would then have to change all locks & would do so at a time convenient to myself at an hourly rate that would be set by myself & with a bank holiday due it would suit me to do it then at a rate that would be more than they get out of me for the year.

It was nothing but bullying tactics from them that would see some old dear panic & let them fit it.
