Swansea's USA USA USA revolution

Played in a beach footy tournament recently. One of the American lads on our team suggested we play a "split two offense" and a "bully D".

I've got no hope for the fella.

Bob Bradley: "I'm glad Jürgen says some nice things now. When he did commentary on the 2010 World Cup, he was already jockeying for the job"

Always felt the USMNT made a mistake getting rid of Bradley for Klinsmann, BB did a solid job building a very decent team that got some big results. Klinsmann is a swanky European who was a great player but hasn't really done anything as manager and I personally think it's madness he's getting linked with the England job.

You think ol' Bob has what it takes to do well in this league?

Bradley did well for us for quite a while, that confederate cup run was something special. That being said it was getting around the time a change was needed as things were getting stale, whether Jurgen is the right fit I still can't decide haha

Depends on what your interpretation of doing well is, I certainly think he will keep them up. Anything else will be tough and depends if they continue to sell their best players , although he is used to working with little money. I don't think he'll be intimidated by the Prem

When I say do well I mean do you think he will last a year? Because considering the situation down there I think if he does manage to keep them up and go into next season with the fans fully behind him and the club he can consider that the biggest success of his career so far.

Klinsmann for me is a very overrated manager, he's only managed 1 club side and that was Bayern Munich, for a season, where he won nothing. I remember during the Hicks and Gillett era across the park he was constantly getting linked with the job, rumours in the local media were flying about all the time that Hicks had held secret meetings with him to discuss it. He was even asked about it during that infamous interview he did with Sky Sports, I'm not sure if you've ever seen it? He is asked about the anger Liverpool fans felt towards him regarding the stories that he was going to sack Benitez for Klinsman and he denied it, famously exclaiming;

"HELL, I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHO JURGEN KLINSMANN WAS!"

I genuinely hope it works out for Bradley, he seems a very decent guy whose had to wait a long time for this opportunity. But I also hope he realises what he's let himself in for. I know he showed enormous courage by staying in Egypt during the height of the unrest but you have to remember how merciless the culture of football is in this country. Mourinho and Van Gaal both had nervous breakdowns before our eyes last season.

I really don't think he's the type pays any mind to what the media, etc think. Jose' problem was his massive ego, "special one" and all that. Not to mention the expectations at Chelsea and UTD are very different than Swansea. All he has to do is keep them up and he'll get next season which I think he can. They have some decent players and there's some dross in this league. If for some reason they get relegated it'd be due to tactical adjustment issues not Bradley cracking under pressure
