Swansea in Europe.

oh fiddlesticks. I live in swansea, so does that mean i have to say i live in england?

can't see any problem about it tbh, you'd expect them to accept it. They agreed to enter the english league instead of the welsh league and if they won the league they would have to call themselves champions of england.

just out of interest when will they have to display the St. George flag? i can't remember any instances where i've seen english clubs brandishing it at a european game

Never been to Swansea. Is it fully Welsh like or do they have sanitation and roads, etc?

They actually speak Welsh there. THAT'S how Welsh it is!

It was a shock for me as most of my "Welsh" visits in the past had been to Rhyl and Colwyn Bay where Welsh is seldom spoken and everyone has an English accent.

I actually thought Swansea was quite nice but this may have been a result of the weather being nice and Everton winning 3-0 clouding my judgment

Ok, so IF Swansea win at the weekend, they get a European place. UEFA have ruled that for all games in their competition they have to display the St Georges Flag, not the Welsh Dragon, as they qualified through the English league system. You can bet they're not particularly happy about that.

But it got me thinking, I wonder if Glasgow Rangers or Celtic had considered anything like that for if they were to get their wish and join the English league. I couldn't imagine them standing for flying the St Georges Flag at their home games.

Robbing our European places you can better believe they are bloody displaying it. I am the least nationalist person going but I would love to see them getting all wound up having to bow down once again to Queen and (english)country. What I'm actually furious about is from an Everton perspective that this European league place has been stolen from us to give to a potentially non-English winner of some jarg cup, who hails from a country that are given their own European places at the expense of other countries (including our own). Cheeky sheepshagging carts.

I thought themselves and Cardiff weren't allowed enter europe, was it not said before their f.a.cup final that had they beaten Portsmouth, Cardiff wouldn't have gained entry into europe?

Excellent if true.

HAVE IT YOU JACK KNUTS

(P.S. I actually have nothing against the Welsh and have several cousins who hail from there. They may have mated with each other to create a whole host of double cousins I don't know about, though)
