The main and crucial difference between Football and Handegg to me is that the former doesn't have an absolutely absurd ratio of advertisements and commentary guff compared to actual action. You could watch a game of handegg in about 20 minutes if you skipped all the fluff.

I actually do this often. I DVR the Giants game, stay away from tvs and news during the day, and watch the game at night. Being skilled on the FF/Play button as I am, I can get through the game in record time.

Technically ther is 60 minutes of playing time. But i get the point....an hour long game that takes 3-4 hours to play.

i watched highlights of superbowl and really enjoyed it, so mush better without all the stop start, i think it takes a different kind of mindset that british sports fans just aren't used too..

Much friendlier for getting up and finding more snacks to eat/using the bathroom/accomplishing some work during commercials. It's a different experience entirely, and both have their merits.

2 teams with middle of the pack national following = highest rated SB ever. See what happens when you have a league that doesn't have its lips fully planted on the asses of the big money teams and the public knows everyone has a chance prem??
