Super Sunday

Even when it's one game?!

They usually have two but I imagine on the odd Sunday there us only one they still call it Super Sunday.

It us now a generic term for their Sunday football.....the way they call Monday night MNF and Saturdsy Night Football for the Saturday tea time offering :)

No, not this long time.

They actually had two designated "Super Duper Sundays" for a couple years when thise four were paired one Sunsy and then the reverse fixtures later in the season.

This week is purely random......the Arsenal/Leicester fuxture was re-arranged and parachuted in just a few weeks ago which is why there are three matches tomorrow.

Otherwise this weeks "Super Sunday" would have included bottom of the table Villa playing mid table RS along with a genuine clash of top four contenders
Thanks. I remember there was a lot of fuss about those games possibly being fixed to be on the same weekend to have a super duper Sunday, just wondering if sky promoted this weekend the same as those since it is the current top 4 rather than their "big four"

Yes....Sky annoointed those four clubs the status of "big four" rather than "top four" as they could nit guarantee they would all be filling the top four slots on the Sunday's designated by the fuxture computer.

To have the actual top four playing each other on any given matchday is quite unusual......and as I said before, tomorrow was cobbled together at very short notice when the Arsenal/Foxes game was shoehorned into the Sunday at a most inconvenient kick off time when it became apparent Leicester were here to stay.

There was a great deal of irritation among Leicester fans as many had already bought saver train tickets for the Saturday.

One more the travelling fan has been just kicked to the kerb.
