Sunderland Til I Die - Netflix Doc

Rodwell comes across as a proper villain, I'm sorry I've ever defended him now. Does an interview with a rag saying he's fitter than he's ever been but then lies on a table in the treatment room saying there's no chance he's going to play. Heartless mercenary only arsed about his contract whilst people around him are scared for their livelihoods. C-word.

In defense of Rodwell, there was never really any mention why he wasn't playing (was it just he makes too much and we want him to want out or is he even too awful for the championship-L1 these days?) and hell I wouldn't give a penny back to Martin Short. If Rodwell gave that money back there is no way that owner wasn't going to just pocket that.

Nah if he gave it back he could at least turn around and honestly tell the fans it wasn't his fault the club were making lay offs, that he's done his bit to help them out. I think the Wearsiders, being the decent people they are, would have accepted that. Instead he was happy to sit on his arse and pocket his wage without a care about if they went down or people lost their jobs. He was fit the majority of the season but the reason he wasn't playing was because Coleman knew he couldn't be counted on to give 100% and was unpopular with the supporters. At a time when their only chance of survival was for everyone to stick together and work for one another you couldn't waste a starting place on someone who is so clearly not arsed. When fit he's clearly too good for that level but how could they trust him to put in any effort? Bad apples like that need throwing out of clubs ASAP, Ferguson was the absolute master of knowing exactly when a player's time was up no matter who they were or what they'd previously done.

That was woeful from Sunderland. Take the lead then try and defend it like they did against Pompey. Their fans seemed like they couldn’t be bothered either.

just finished, think its decent. gosh, accent is pretty funny lol
