Sunday atmosphere

Players badly need us behind them on Sunday. If we are quiet and tense then Watford will grow into the game and not be intimidated.
But an angry, loud Goodison really can be like a 12th man.

We all know we are utter dross at the moment. But can we try and make some atmosphere from the get-go this week? Like an FA Cup atmosphere?

Tbh he's right. It has to be if it's quiet and all no atmosphere the inevitable will happen and Watford will score and the games over. Sunday's game is an fa cup final for us it really really is. Let's treat it like one

Hasn't been like that for ages, doubt it would be right now.

Oh I know. I just wonder if we need to wake up to the gravity of the situation. If we play like we are currently for much longer then we genuinely will get relegated. Which, after the money spent, will utterly screw us up for many many years.

It's getting desperate and we need to pull together.

The players will be crapping themselves. The fans need to see the commitment from them before they get behind the team. as there's been none this season.

As I said in another thread, I honestly can't give my support to some of the utter cowards that play for us.

Need players in who aren't the senior players who Unsworth and Koeman thought we can rely on. No: Williams, Rooney, Jagielka or Schneiderlin in this team.

It'll turn toxic when we concede.

I think we are definitely a fan base that reacts to what we see. Some clubs - especially on the continent - will sing and make noise no matter what they're watching. We wait to be invigorated by the team before we really get going. Often it takes a crunching tackle or a bad reffing decision to set the fans off.
I'm just not sure we can afford to wait now. The players need our support and I hope they could respond to that.
Playing in front of an eerily silent crowd which is ready to pour out its frustration at the first misplaced pass down nothing but heap pressure on the players - especially the younger lads - and makes the opposition so grow in confidence.

I know it's not natural to us at all. But I think we need to rally

We're reactive, rather than proactive fans.

Like it or not - you're an Evertonian and these are your players. It serves no-one to not support them when they're in the act of representing us on the pitch. Because, frankly, that's where it matters most.
Slam them on twitter, forums, in the pub all you want. But bottom line is we need them to win matches or we will be watching them on the channel 5 highlights show next season

I feel such a disconnection to these players. Even players who I used to look up to, like Jagielka and Baines.

They're signing multimillion contracts knowing full well that they are not up to it. Players like Terry, Carragher, Gary Neville, Gerrard. All knew they couldn't do it at the top level anymore and left. We have these leeches hanging on until the bitter end.

If the likes of Kenny, Baningime, Vlasic, Lookman, etc. I can give my full support to them.
