Played them in the league a week before the first cup tie, think that might have been a draw as well?

What I do remember is John Ebbrell getting done by Ronnie Whelan but Whelan breaking his own leg in the challenge then the following game McMahon trying to take him out again and this time Ebbrell doing him and putting MacMahon out! (Could be McMahon first week, Whelan second now I'm thinking about it).
