Interesting list. Lots of stuff there that'd make my top 50.

Very interesting Mars Volta choice. I'd always go with Frances or De-Loused, but Amputechture is immense and definitely underrated.

That Envy on the Coast album (which you got me into) is super. Loving Jane's Addiction, Tool and Mutemath.

Pinkerton is possibly your best shout though. That alone is why I can't love the Weezer of today... they put out that, and now they put out stuff like this:

Between the Buried and Me and Dillinger are great shouts, chiefly choosing Ire Works.

I could go on but that's a superb list mate. I think I've made that clear.

The only nitpick would be having Saosin so high. I think they're completely average, but we've had that debate before I think!

I happen to think Rage Against The Machine are badly gash... but that's my opinon. Not really a big music fan but Nirvana and Eminem would feature on a top 50 of mine. ( so would U2 probably and Deacon Blue so it shows how much I know ).

I own everything in that list son, 350+ cd collection is going strong, stuff yer Spotify.

And yeah RFUS, agreed with what you said about Weezer unfortunately, and I get where you're coming from regarding Saosin.

For what they are (a standard sort've alternative rock band) their first album just completely floors me everytime, gotta be a favourite of mine.

Pantera's album is a weird choice, I feel like Far Beyond Driven and Vulgar Display of power are both better than it, but that's your choice. A few of those would probably end up on my list too, good stuff.

Pantera's album is a weird choice, I feel like Far Beyond Driven and Vulgar Display of power are both better than it, but that's your choice. A few of those would probably end up on my list too, good stuff.

VDP and FBD just start too strongly for me, you can't put **** like Walk, 5 Minutes Alone, I'm Broken and Mouth For War at the start of an album and expect to keep that level of quality up.

Southern Trendkill kills me from start to finish.

Agreed on that, Trendkill is much more "balanced".
