Wouldn't be that bad on a free. We've only got one experienced covering centre back and Shane Duffy who to be honest I'd rather see than Melberg. In the current situation we've only got Duffy as cover and it only takes one centre back injury to have absolutely no defensive cover on the bench.
 
There is also that Eric Dier lad who I'm hoping we'll be signing up, always looked a solid player.

Or that real young kid.... Dave Weir, but he might be a few years away from breaking through.

But a free wouldn't be bad cover. Not a bad shout.
 
If we're selling Jags to raise some funds then Scott Dann wouldn't be a bad shout If blackburn go down, can't see him costing more than £5 mil.

He's a red all the way...can't see him coming here, and not worth anywhere close to $5 million, IMO.

Don't think it matters what team he supports, Carragher's a blue. If he's offered the chance to play for an established premier league side chasing Europe or a championship side then I'm guessing we'd be his preferred choice.
