Summer transfer target list

I know it's early days but I still enjoy discussing the transfer targets that people think would fit into our squad.

IN:
Michael Knightly - Wolves £5 m. - the right winger we need
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake - Wolves £5 m. - perfect foil for Yak
Wayne Hennessey - Wolves £5. m. - excellent keeper who should be able to push Howard all the way.
Joao Moutinho - Sporting £10 m. - Plain and simple a superb player who could lift the entire team.
Manuel Fernandes - Valencia £6 m. - Class who could push Arteta and Fellaini for a starting position.

OUT:
Jo, Jacobsen, Castillo, Valente, VDM - no fees
Anichebe - 4-5 m.

I wouldn't want any other from our squad to leave unless Man City comes in with silly money like £25 m. for either Arteta or Lescott.

Why we raiding Wolves. They wont sell their best players now they're in the prem.

Micheal Knightly -
Rather go for
Obinna - Inter Milan
Jona Gutierez - Newcastle
Mendy - Hull

Ebans Blake - Would he be Prem class? And he would never go for 5mill.

Hennessey - Wouldnt want to play 2nd fiddle IMO.

Joao Moutinho - Sporting £10 m. -Signed an extended contract with Sporting the other week.

Manuel Fernandes - Moyes dont like him.

I cant see anyone paying 4.5mill for Vic. He needs to be loaned out and I think he has potentical.
So we have Gosling to replace Ossie.....right. Who replaces Gosling who's still leanring?

I'd rather we sell osman and use the money to buy moutinho. And I'd rather Gosling learn from moutinho than Osman.

With a bit of marketing, we can sell Anichebe for a decent price. Marcus Bent springs to mind.

We should raid the Championship for their best players, these three just happens to play for Wolves. Despite their promotion Everton will still be a step up, which I'm sure they will want to take. I also like the fact that they're British players - I wouldn't want EFC to turn into Arsenal and Pool when it comes to homegrown players.

So nobody will pay 4-5 m. for Vic, but Ebanks-Blake will not go for 5 - that's not logical.

There's a difference between raiding the championship for players, and raiding them for good players.

Its very rare that Prem teams bag Championship players who end up being excellent unless they've proved themselves in the Prem. Lescott and Cahill are rareities, which is all down to Moyes really.

Others such as Darren Bent, Ashley Young, Andy Johnson had a season in the premiership before moving on for ridiculous prices.

Blakes would see us as a step up, yes. But he's wanted by a fair few teams and would go to the highest bidder. He's also not premiership proven, which for a striker is make or break. Wolves would get more money out of him if he stayed just 1 season and proved his worth. Wolves would also not let their highest goalscorer, and the championships top goalscorer go for £5mill. He could be more valuable at the club than 5million.

Vic hasnt proved he's worth 4mill because he hasnt played regularly IMO. I'd rather we loan him out to develope and see what happens rather than maybe undersell a player who could or could not be a quality player.

I'm not doubting there's some good players in the championship (Moyes is always a fan of Stephen Hunt). But you can almost always buy better foreign players for the same amount eg like Manny for £6million - and for a club like ours that doenst buy 4 or 5 £6mill players, I'd have Manny over Blakes, and Knightley anyday of the week.

But if we have to raid the Championship, then thats what we do.

As for Manny and The Mout. Moutinho would've extend his contract and get rid of all his clauses (the percentage he makes from the transfer or whatever) if he didnt want to stay at Sporting. The contract adds to his transfer because you have to buy the contract out.

Manny's loving playing for Valencia, even without getting paid. I'd love him back, and we'd get a good price. But I think that boat has sailed with Moyes.

I won't, but it's a little pie in the sky. As has already been said, there is no way we are going to get Wolves top players.

We are not going to get Mout for 10m.

Fernandes won't come back a 3rd time.

I seriously doubt any of those players are on Moyes' radar this summer.

Well we can't all create serious threads about who we like and what a great team we have all the time.

These are just the players I want Moyes to go after. Previously I have said that we should go for Baines, Yak, Cahill and Lescott so maybe Moyes listens :lol:

There is no doubt those players are within our price range (from Wolves), and would benefit the squad. But Wolves may as well not bother coming up if they are going to sell all their best players.
