Hi Guys, bit of advice needed... Where abouts in the process of getting a job is wage normally covered?

I've been offered an 8 week summer placement, 39 hours a week, no mention of wage in the interview, no mention of wage in the phone call offering me the job. Contract is being sent out today, surely it will be in that?! Or does it seem i've signed up for an unpaid job...*sigh*

Unless you're doing charity work, it will be covered in the contract mate. If you don't want the anticipation why don't you contact their HR department.

You're very trusting.

At the end of the interview, when they ask if you have any questions, I would have thought, "how much lad", should have been mentioned, just saying like.

Yeah that was the first thing on my mind like, but you're advised not to ask, especially 'cause I thought I was massively the outsider for the job so I didn't wanna come across as presumptious.

I'll be doing it either way, experience is essential these days, just a bit of blow if it's all unpaid.

Cheers anyway guys.

Yeah fair play, you never wanna ask "how much", in case it screws up your chances, they dont want somebody who sees a job as a payday, they want somebody to be part of a team!!!!!
