Depends what for. If it was something that you can easily recover from and hasn't cost you your job etc. then no. If you are in the other situation then why not?
 
The problem is the NHS has no insurance - hence the win of any claim comes out of their local NHS budget - mistakes tragically happen it's hard just to get a verbal written apology as that's admittance to guilt!
Plus any Doctor or Nurse will verbally tell you you have a case, but never put it in writing, a sad state of affairs the complaints system needs sorting out!
Most people would accept apologies, but are somehow driven down the leagal route out of frustration!
 


I could have sued them twice, possibly 3 times over the years. I've always thought that doing so would be morally wrong. It doesn't help when you're sitting in A&E and all the advertisements on the walls are from ambulance chasing solicitors who specialise in medical negligence.
