Wife told me today that some fella in Ellesmere Port had tied a rope around a post, put a loop around his head whilst in his car, and then drove off at high speed.

Obviously decapitating himself. Anyone hear of this?

WILL SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CHILDREN.

Well it's the easy way out, although I think if I was to do it I would probably go for the hose and the exhaust. Some people don't realise the last thing they feel is immense pain.

Odd balls humans are. Strange strange creatures.

I just pity people who get to that mental state that they want to do that, it must be awful to contemplate and then to carry out.

Yeah there's a clip on youtube somewhere of the Golden Gate bridge and people jumping off it, and on one clip you see some old fella sitting on the edge and then jumping - but behind him you see this rock dude walking past, and then in another related clip he jumps to.

Eerie.

such a selfish thing to do

A mate of mine actually did this deed. In front of a train. He had suffered mental health problems before. But the week before he died he was out on the lash with us , as if everything was ok. His dad saw him an hour before he died and tried to get him to go for a drink. He refused saying he had something else to do. This was back in 87. I visit the grave regulary. Even now it hurts.

I have nothing but sympathy for anyone who considers all their options, thinks about everyone who they're going to leave behind etc & then still feels that the best 1 is to kill themselves. Giving it a lot of thought is 1 thing, going through with it is entirely different, I really do feel for someone who takes that decision.

Got to give that fella a bit of credit, that sounds like an entertaining way to go, I'll try to remember that

Ye smae here...

One of my good mates got himself in real trouble with debt. he also crashed his taxi and lost his license and his long standing bird left him for someone else. All in the space of 2-3 months.

He kept it all quiet then one day went to childwall woods and hung himself. He just could'nt handle what had happend in such a small space of time.
