You'll pay 10p more for your classic can of Coke from today, just showed a Scottish bloke on the news stockpiling Irn-Bru in his loft.

10p on a can, can't see it having much of an effect but if the government can find new ways to tax it's all good for them.

They'll be going for £2 a can by next week on the black market, Irn-Bru are changing their recipe to reduce sugar.

seriously, FFS, ive already lost two of my favourite drinks (lucazade/Ribena) as they have changed the recipe, not that I am a big irn bru fan but there is going to be nothing left

i drink water all week and on a rare occasion fancy a drink like this (hangover normally) and due to stupid people letting their fat kids drink 2ltrs a day, i cant

Think this will affect the poor more than anyone else and won't make any difference to obesity as its the cheap [Poor language removed] food and lack of exercise that's more of a cause. Tax take has already been revised down to £275 Million from £500 Million so not the earner many thought. The tax is simply passed onto the customer.

IT`S MY RIGHT TO MAKE MY KIDS OBESE AND FOR THEM TO DEVELOP TYPE 2 DIABETES AND HEART DISEASE, WHEN THEY`RE OLDER.
Basically this.

It’s because of the likes of Kelly-Ann, 37 who sits at home watching Jeremy Kyle all day as a ‘full time mummy’ who got a first class degree at the university of life. She drinks a full 2 litre bottle of Pepsi every day and smokes like a chimney and is a strain on the NHS due to her own poor lifestyle choices. She is fuming that the nanny state is interfering with ‘are lives again’. Thinks the world owes her a living and is generally a mardy cow.
