Sudden feelings of depression

Does anyone else get these?

For absolutely no reason at all, for the past few hours I've just felt totally down in the dumps. I've tried having a few beers but it hasn't improved my mood any.

I think that I'm just going to go to bed :(
Completely normal... For me anyway. Usually for a couple of days at a time.

Don't know how old you are, but as I've aged it's something I've just got used to. Even when I've got absolutely nothing in the world to be miserable about, I'll still manage to find something. Most of my family are the same tbh.

Don't worry about it. We can't be happy all the time

Think we all feel down at certain times.
Some are lucky enough to shake it off some not.

I'll get pelters but ...alcohol doesn't help.

Pretty much everyone gets the blues now and then mate, I'd say it's normal to be down occassionally. If the downs are really deep and often, then it's time to ask for help, but if it's just now and then, and more a feeling of being pissed off than anything else, then it should pass quickly enough.

Fresh air's probably a better remedy than booze though.

All the time mate, but it passes. FWIW I don't think people are supposed to feel constantly happy all the time, try and see it as natural emotional downtime but talk to someone if you ever feel it's getting too much to handle

Take it easy matey. Try to focus on something you can look forward to. Stay off the booze as that’s no good for you. Keep speaking to people aswell pal.

The fact you have identified and happy to talk about it is half the battle.

They are called Mood Swings for a reason. You can't turn them on and off but you can focus on being more responsible for your sad days.

Go for a walk or exercise are very good in focussing your mood.

All the best and never forget you will always have someone, friends, family or strangers, to listen to you or just chat.
