can't common sence prevail and the ref just award a goal? i hate this rule, it encourages cheating i.e. suarez in the world cup. send the player off and give the goal if it's deliberate ffs

Yep, the ref should just say that in his opinion it went over the line and the goal stands.

If he did that round my ways he would get a hiding. Team we played on the weekend have had 3 games abandoned for fighting already.

If the team that the sub played for had any moral standing they would allow the opposition to score a non-contested goal and ban the sub for life - disgraceful!

I've actually seen this done...honestly....... many years ago our under 18's local team where playing a cup match away somewhere and were winning, the other team had an attack and we were all stood behind the goal ...their striker rounded our keeper and side footed it towards a certain goal...until one of the players brother Jimmy ran from behind the goal and wellied the ball up the pitch....the place went mental ha ha and the ref couldn't award a goal as the ball never crossed the line... not right but deffo funny as fook.
