Getting a bit fed up with martinez not closing out games with defensive subs y,day was screaming out for besic energy and tackling with 15 to go, not mcgeadys arseing around and not tackling, not the first time it has happened.

84th minute 2-0 up replaced with like for like if your two central defenders age adds up to 68 years old his excuse was we got tired and that in my eyes was correctly the problem!

and if McGeady countered and scored a 3rd goal it would have been an inspired substitution. He did lots of positive subs last season and he was known as being astute and now this didn't work out he is not. Remember the Martinez way of thinking is always positive and his best form of defence is attack. I wouldn't want it any other way.

He brought on seamus last week and people fumed we invited pressure, hes brings on two attackers this week and people fume.

Rom was dead on his feet, and kev wasnt far off, he brought on two wingers to keep the counter attacking threat, unfourtunatly he had to make a change in the first halve so he didnt have that third change in the second halve i imagine he wouldve used, hindsight is a wonderful thing, shouldve brought on besic for osman but at the same time macca and coleman shouldve closed down and jags and distin shouldve done there job

If we're a goal up thats a precarious position to sit back and invite a team onto you from. Last season Martinez called those right and just went for a 'best form of defence is attack' mindset. Two goals up in the last quarter of the game is a different proposition. IMO you make the decision to tighten up midfield at that point.

Last week he got it wrong with the defender on for a forward when 1-0 up with minutes to spare.

I just think he's making some un-Martinez decisions sub-wise past two games.

I really think these errors are down to his concerns over fitness levels in the team...itself a product of the poor pre-season schedule and conditioning. All roads lead back to that I'm afraid.

This is basically the very obvious problem. "The proof is in the pudding" is the phrase that springs to mind, and quite obviously Martinez got pre-season wrong.

There's no point making a demi-God out of the man like some did with Moyes - if the guy gets something wrong, he gets something wrong. Lessons learned, moved on, but call a spade a spade with it.

Hasn't got a sub right this season! Lets see how he deals under pressure as results don't go our way with the added 'bonus' of Europa. Hope he's not a fraud.

TBF to Martinez, he's all but holding his hands up on this now and admitting he got it wrong. That's the only way you can interpret his statement about fatigue yesterday.

I really do think he's kicking himself. For my money he needed to be assertive with the board when that preposterous Chang round the globe commitment was thrust at him. I could imagine Moyes would have told Elstone to work that up his arse if he'd tried to dump it on him preseason.

He's doing a great impression of one at the moment.

Like I said, we've only played 2 games so far this season. He's made mistakes, but it's his mentality to keep attacking. It will win us games, like it did last season, but it will also lose us games like we've seen so far this. Once fitness levels are up I think it'll work more than it fails.
