Blue cheese stinks, but it tastes lovely.

I'm already sick of mince pies.

Why do you always get a bill in the post on christmas eve.

Why do cockney's eat jellied eels.

Can't stand blue cheese, sure it tastes nice but never got as far as trying it as it looks rank

I think Cockneys eat Eels because in the olden days they used to be so abundant in the river Thames, and jellying them is a way of preserving them so they last longer. Still disgusting like

now they get there eels sent down from the mersey, lets start a campaign to stop them getting our eels, eels that have lived and breathed royal blue mersey, how dare they eat our elver-tonian eels.

I'd never eat anything that has shared the same water as millions of mersey burgers, the cockney's are welcome to them!

only just saw this, is that a riddle for me ?

an elver is a young eel. very nice too, it's what they call whitebait, you catch them by pegging a net to the riverbank as they follow the edge of the water.

if youve ever seen the footrot flats books btw, one of those is titled whitebait something, it's elvers and not the fish we call whitebait.
