I think we should not spend much money on strikers, because:
1. Striker is the most expensive type of player
2. We dont have much money, so we can't get good strikers with our budget
3. Moyes' curse on strikers would ruin any great strikers
Therefore, I think we better find some young and cheap strikers with high sprint speed and can do some dribbling, because:
1. Such kind of player can also be used for winger. Being able to play in multiple positions is important for a small squad.
2. Running fast is helpful even when the player does not have good skills, eg, Welbeck, Walcott
3. We already have a poacher(Jelavic), a high-strength striker(Anichebe), so we need more variety for our attack

Imagine Benteke, Fellaini and Mirallas in the team - it would be quality. Don't think we would be able to get him though - simply because other clubs (if he does move) will be more appealing than Everton.
Andy Carroll would be a great signing (depending on price) - but his wages are probably too high.
