Striker overkill?

Bruce Wayne

Player Valuation: £100m
Just looking through the youth squads and we seem to have hundreds of strikers at the club.

Vic and Vaughan are obviously in the first team now but both are young enough to be around for a long time.

Below them we have Lukas, Agard, Spencer, Downes, Baxter and Sheppard (kid signed from Ireland for £100k).

Seems we have a heck of a lot of young strikers. Not sure quite how we determine who stays and who goes. Last year we had Paul Hopkins who scored a lot of goals for the under 18 side before being sold to Darlington. I think he even scored six hat-tricks in a row at schoolboy level, beating Fowlers record.

It seems that Spencer isn't exactly ripping up trees at the club and could be the next out of the door. Is it a case of shotgun marketing?

true bruce but why sell any!!

wait until you have to give them there pro contract then see if they make the grade!

you can never have to meny players!

just wish we had more midfielders coming through! and by that i mean real class midfielders with skill, power, pace and can drag a team through a game on there own type of midfielders!

Its arguably the most important position in the team.

Out of say, six of them, coming through the youth system we will be lucky if two of them make any sort of impact on the first team.

Its a nice problem to have. Sell McFadden.

Well Baxter will make an impact, and I think Agard will be another Anichebe. Spencer, not sure. Lukas possibly. Shephard, meant to be good, but not seen him play yet.

Baxter is one for the future, Agard is a mix between anichebe and vaughan i think, and i think juckiewitx will feature for everton in a year or two, give him time...as for spencer and sheppard im not sure...

Personally i cant wait for agard and baxxter to geta a few run outs in everton friendlys next season...
