Freaks and Geeks was all about the casting. It was like a glimpse into the future for the 21st century comedy generation; Seth Rogen, Jason Segal, James Franco, a cameo for Rashida Jones and the criminally out of work Martin Starr too (check out Party Down). And that transformers midget, shoe labeef or whatever, played a mascot.

I always thought that Busy Phiillips was the best, most realistic portrayal of a teen I ever saw on television. She should have an emmy for that season.

Good shout. She was fantastic in that.

Although I haven't really seen her in anything since. I mentioned the others because they've all gone on to have big careers (and Martin Starr was in one of my favourite ever shows; Party Down).
