Everton are in the bottom three at the start of November after a 2-0 defeat away at Leicester City, and we’re all getting increasingly worried that this won’t be getting better any time soon.

In this episode of the GrandOldTeam podcast, Adam and Groucho briefly look back at the match, discuss Wayne Rooney‘s impact on the side and re-assess the current names in the frame for the permanent position of Everton manager.

Great podcast lads.

- Agree with your assessment of Rooney. Think part of the issue is that there is a feeling that he is taking up a space on the field that would be better used on one of our other 6,473 #10's.
- Good assessment of Unsworth - the real head shaker for me is why he's played Lennon twice and why Sandro wasn't even in the squad. Sure Sandro hasn't scored, but neither has anyone else. I do think where the danger is with Unsworth is him loosing some of the new members of the squad by not including them at the cost of U23's and guys like Lennon
- Lastly, I think that a manager like Tuchel, Ancellotti or Mancini would get more slack than Dysche if things don't go well.
- I'm also surprised that Howe hasn't got more of a look. He's survived for two years in a row (one more than Dysche) and he's done it by playing offensive footbal, which is harder to do at the bottom end of the table.

Keep up the great work!
