Stopping drinking

I went dry whilst I raced motocross from 2005 to about 2009...

It was very hard going and it didn't make me any happier than I am now.

I don't think it's the same for everyone, for some alcohol is there nemisis, for others they can just do without completely, for me I enjoy the social aspect as much as the drink, and I find myself laughing and enjoying life alot more whilst having a beer.. I could never see me depriving myself of it again, when it's so enjoyable

Bit odd that you keep use it as an excuse for getting banned then.

I could never see how depraved I was, when it's so enjoyable

Dunno how people drink every night just sitting in the front room on ya bill

Does nothing for me that just makes me wanan go out and do something

Before I retired I was in the MN on a tanker working 8 weeks on 8 weeks off. The 8 weeks on were strictly no alcohol and I didn't miss it. The 8 weeks home I could take it or leave it. When I first went to sea in 1967 drinking was part of the job, but times and attitudes have changed, probably for the better. I could go on but I'm missing valuable drinking time :pint2::drunk::cheers:
