Ten goals conceded in stoppage time this season. More than one out of every six goals we've conceded, with those goals leading to eleven points dropped in the league and now an FA Cup exit.

Is it fatigue? Poor tactics? Lack of mental fortitude? Some combination of the three? Or just some sort of "Everton that" curse? How is this even possible?

We were pressing forward in this and unfortunately got caught open on the break. Who ever was near should have rugby tackled him and took the red card. Herrera got away with it on that foul on Barkley which should have been a red but not even given a yellow.

Unreal stat

Stoppage time errors have a bunch of reasons. Fatigue ? yes. But when the defense is never set correctly, nevermind the fact that half the time they are on their heels running backwards after being caught forward, you get late goals by teams who are pressing during the added time. How does Martial have 5 yards on either side of him in front of the net at the end of stoppage time ? How do you miss 6 foot 4 inch Fellani (with hair higher than that) drifting about in front of the goal ? IOW's...Slow slow slow, stupid stupid stupid.

Regarding snide, a member of atletico madrid's coaching team threw a ball onto the pitch to stop Malaga scoring on the counter attack. They won 1-0 and are firmly in the race for La Liga. That's the difference having a bit of it in the team can mean

Combination of all three, and throw in a good dose of naivety too.

Fitness.

The only player who looks remotely capable of playing flat out for 90 mins is Lennon, no doubt because he is professional enough to look after himself regardless of the coaching regime.

First half we were normal Everton.

Slow in possession, no ideas, no one wanted the ball, looked so unfit.

The players were knackered.

Gibson knew he was unfit and played a blinder in not doing bad considering he has hardly played and has been thrust into an FA Cup final team playing a crazy formation with players everywhere, against an arguably upcoming Manchester United team.
