What's the best way to get to Stoke on the train from lime street? Had a look on the interwebs and the stadium seems pretty far from the closest station. Just wondering if anyone's got any tips

There are scheduled buses from outside the train station or, if you don't fancy that, you can walk it or grab a cab. We walked it once from the station and it took about 35 to 40 mins to get there. Takes longer walking back because it takes about 15 mins to get over the bridge by the incinerator towards town.

Last time i went there on the train everyone had to get off a stop before Stoke, Kiddsgrove i think it was called, then get on a bus, was the FA cup game about 10 years back and the police were out in force due to extra numbers, did seem a real awkward one.

What about on the way back from ground, is there a bus service back to the station?
