Thinking of investing in some shares. Have identified a few areas but was unsure if now is a good time,it all seems very uncertain in the world at the moment.

Any established traders on here that have any thoughts/advice?

I just sent a few grand to some boss bird in Nigeria.
Her now deceased uncle is worth a fortune and needed my few quid to get access to his account.

LOL, I got one from Colonel Gaddafi's daughter the other day! She had about 80mil to stash.

Why do they make it such stupid amounts, no one will believe? Why not say it is about 50k?!

check yourself before you wreck yourself.

Also a little tip.

find 2 rival companies, one low and one high. Invest in said low company, dirt cheap shares, buy a load of them. The go out and do everything you can to destroy the name of the high company, really make them unsellable, arson, public media campaigns etc Really go to town on them

Then sell the other company shares when they become market leader. And repeat.

Very rash statement mate, where is your evidence?, the stock market is now at record levels so in theory anyone who has invested in the past and held onto their shares and sells now will make a profit.

Only experience I've ever really had is knowing how some companies stock is bound to fly.

So I knew, from my day job, that PokemonGo would be a huge thing. I even told a few on here to look at Niantic Labs shares. A few made a few quid, I didn't know how to do it - just knew there would be money to be made.
