Steven 'Mammon is Great' Pienaar

It was a good deal for everyone but Pienaar. £3 million for a player who has 6 months left on his contract is good money. But it's also a low price for a quality squad player for Spurs. But surely Pienaar must have known he'd be on the bench with Lennon, Bale and VDV taking up the wide positions, so I can't see why he'd be too upset. Maybe he thought he was genuinley better than those 3. You don't get to play top level football unless you are confident in your own ability so it wouldn't suprise me if he thought he'd oust Bale or Lennon. Redknapp obviously bought him for his workrate when they need to close games out and tighten things up. But Spurs will never start games with any intention but to attack, so I can't see him ever gettting the nod over Bale, VDV or Lennon in that respect, so I can't see him starting too many games at all.

There's also Kranjcar and whomever they buy next.

My mate said to me when he joined Spurs, that Lennon is better than him. I thought no way, but Lennon really is a great player. I was shocked he didn't start last night.

I don't understand the hate he's getting to be honest. He did well for us and then he left. It happens.

I wish him all the best to be honest.

It's not really hate, certainly not like Lescott...

It's just that we all saw this coming, like Lescott...

Highly revered at this great club before sitting on his arse somewhere else for an extra £40'000 a week...
