Player Valuation: £150m
...with Twente Enschede.

Hats off to the George Formby lookalike.

That's like winning the Premiership with Sunderland isn't it?

He'll be away from Twente next season. He wouldn't say he'd be in Holland next season to a commentator post match today. Will he turn up back in England? I bet he does.

Don't know comparing it with Sunderland winning the Premiership, more like Everton winning it.

They are a well supported club (most fanatical fans in Holland) and very well run. They can also still grow, so I expect them to be up there with Ajax and PSV every season now. That's not to say mc Laren did a tremendous job. Really pleased for him and Twente.

Are they really comparable to Everton? They've not had a lot of success have they?

In no means comparable as a club. Everton have a history, Twente can only dream of. Meant it more as the actual present day status. Of course Everton is the much bigger club, but the Premiership is also a much bigger league compared to the Eredivisie. So PSV and Ajax, I'd rate as the Chelsea and Man Utd of our league, Feyenoord as the RS (both on the decline) and so Twente would probably be the Everton of the Eredivisie.

Thanks.

Pity McClaren wont be there next season to build on this success (that's the way it looks, anyway). He could have continued his mastery of the Dutch language: "Yesh, I am 'ow you peeple shay, delighted with my teamsh shuccess thish sheason". :o

Fair play to him, I have nothing be respect for British managers/players who move abroad and have a go.

he only moved away coz everyone here hated him...but fair do's...he's grafted away and achieved something....who knows cud be the shites next manager!!

Exactly right. We would be much better off if more followed suit. Look how it helped Roy Hodgson develop as a manager. I believe McClaren has been linked with the Hamberg job as well as West Ham. I hope he stays abroad rather than taking the easy option of coming back to a lowly ranked PL team.

I wouldn't want that. That England job came too soon for him (although he didn't help himself by being a [Poor language removed]). I actually think he's a very good manager. It wont be long until he's managing at a top club.
