Stephane Mbia insists he will not be pushing for a move away from Marseille, but is open to offers after the club made him available for transfer.

The Ligue 1 outfit are looking to bring in funds as they prepare to welcome in a new era at Stade Velodrome.

With Didier Deschamps having vacated their managerial hot-seat to take the reins with the France national side, Elie Baup has been charged with the task of returning Marseille to the top of the table.

He needs money if he is to bring in fresh faces, but has been informed that he must generate his own transfer kitty.

Mbia is among those Marseille are prepared to part with, as he will generate a sizeable fee.
Preparations

The Cameroon midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League in the past, with Arsenal and Everton among the clubs said to be keen.

He concedes a summer switch could be on the cards, with there seemingly no future for him in France.

"I have not put in a transfer request, but I will not be somewhere where they don't want me," said Mbia.

"Marseille have said nothing to me as yet.

"I am preparing myself to have a great season because last year was not so good for me."
