Did you know?

That Everton havn't lost two league games in a row since 29/11/09 when we actually lost 3 in a row against Man Utd, Hull and Liverpool.

Before that you have to go back to 20/10/07 to find the last time we lost 2 in a row against Newcastle and Liverpool.

This shows a remarkable level of bouncebackability.

Did you know we havent spent money on a player for 1 year, 11 months and 3 days.

The board are showing a great level of bankruptability.

Interesting stats tho'

We were the only team in the prem not to lose two on the spin last year.

We are a very mentally resilient team, and you've got to give Moyes credit for that.

This is impressive on the face of it. Another less flattering way of looking at it, though, is to conclude that we are a reactive outfit: just as we usually only get going in a game after a setback, we always get a kick up the arse after a defeat and come out with a better performance next game up. We're also not a team that strings too many back to back wins together either.

Must be a barrel of laughs round your place.

To be fair you do have a point.

Yeah, it's a small scale example of our Jekyll and Hyde seasons of late.

On the one hand, you have to give Moyes a lot of credit for taking a losing team and getting it winning again. I can't see Everton ever just completely fall away under Moyes the way newly promoted teams often do where they lose one game and then another and then they just entirely forget how to win.

On the other hand, we can't maintain our winning ways either. You equally can't even see us do what the big teams do and keep up picking points all year round.

It's like I've often said under Moyes so far Everton have been far too good to get relegated but too inconsistent to be a real force.

That wont change either. Almost a decade in charge - this leopard isn't going to change its spots. I wonder if anyone has the stats on winning sequences under Moyes. I get the impression there wont be too many 3/4 game winning streaks. His teams just switch off for some reason.
