Great article. Highlights that we have been a little bit unlucky with all those shots. And also that we need more creativity from the right.

My feeling is that we should get Coleman to right back ASAP, and use Mikel as a ghost winger in the same way as Pienaar. A coleman running onto the ball with space ahead is more effective than one receiving the ball in tight situations in midfield. Plus it doesnt really matter that Mikel isn't the quickest.. he can use the overlapping fullback as a decoy and cross the ball without beating the man. Or win free kicks. Or feed in seamus. Or just keep possession.

Also the Cahill/Saha partnership is a disaster. Very static, occupying the same space, no understanding at all. Neither wants to work the channels or run in behind. Neither offers the other a good passing option by making a run. Tim's first instinct is usually to lay the ball out wide and then get into the box waiting for the cross. Louis will often try to turn and face the goal, but currently he lacks options without a pacey striker or wingers alongside. Cahill/Beckford or Saha/Beckford (with tim in midfield) would be much better. Beckford is very direct and quick. Ok he's a bit [Poor language removed] in some ways and we might sacrifice a bit of possession, but its surely a risk worth taking.
