Player Valuation: £5m
The Rooney thread got me thinking, what would our team look like then? By then, I expect we will at least have more investment, but likely won't be citeh style spenders, so I figured I'd make my assumpltions that money to resign players will be available.

So, with that being said, what would our lineup be?

Howard
Coleman . Jags . Rodwell . Baines
Fellaini
Donovan . Barkley . Pienaar
Rooney . Jelavic

Subs
Gibson, straq, guaye, Duffy, green, garbutt, Springthorpe

Seems very reasonable, and pretty exciting. By that time, neville will be coaching the reserves, Cahill will be back down under, Distin and Osman will be gone. I expect we will have sold Vellios and or Vic by that point too. and yes, I am expecting, and mostly hoping that moyes is still in charge.

What do you think?

Stuff like this is the most pointless thing ever. It's sound saying 'a midfield of Barkley, Fellaini and Rodwell will be boss in 3 years' or 'I think Coleman will be a good right back', but who knows who we will have bought/sold by 2015? Plus Donovan would be too old at 34 when his pace goes, Pienaar at 33 debatable and Rooney won't come to us until he's at least 30, probably about 32/33. I doubt Rodwell will be a centre back as he's not the strongest or best in the air. Also, I think at least one of Barkley/Rodwell/Fellaini/Baines will have been sold within 3 years. I'm not sure the bench would have the likes of Garbutt, Gueye and Springthorpe on it either - we'll probably have sold them to Championship or Belgian teams and replaced them with the likes of Danny Guthrie. This is all just speculation like so as I said is quite pointless. But who knows, we might get taken over by Arab billionaires and be talking Götze, Lavezzi and Pato.

Something like that I reckon. Probably two holding midfielders though, especially if Moyles is still here.

I'd love to see.....

Fielding
Coleman Duffy Heitinga Baines
Drenthe Fellaini Rodwell Pienaar
Rooney Forrester

Subs: Barkley Long Green Vellios Dier Hammar Roberts(GK)

League winning side right there

Fielding?! As in Frankie?!

The most over rated young keeper since Richard Wright.

Still easing in Barkley in 2015 I see. Don't want to give him too much too soon.
