while everyone seems to be fit what's people starting 11 s for the rest of the season ?

Howard
Coleman
Jags
Stones
Baines
McCarthy
Gibson / besic
Mirallas
Lennon
Naismith
Lukaku

Stuck between Gibson and besic a fit Gibson makes the team tick quick forward play all the time with him

Joel
Coleman Jags Stones Baines
McCarthy Gibson
McGeady Barkley Mirallas
Lukaku

Bench: Howard, Alcaraz, Oviedo, Besic, Naismith, Lennon, Kone.

Squad: Osman, Garbutt, Browning, Distin, Duffus, Pienaar, Barry, Atsu, Griffiths

This would do me, although if Gibson was able to stay fit he'd push for a start, but I can't bring myself to drop either Besic or McCarthy for him.

I really like Barry, hes the 1 whos lucky to miss out for me and as you say, Gibson, the CM pairing is the only thing I struggle with, the rest of the team picks itself. Maybe if we can get Pienaar back to his best he would defo claim that LW spot, but I think hes done.

One defensive mid?? I don't care who you play there, that's the change I wanted to see months back.
Agree with that whole selection tbh

Some games we shouldnt be playing 2 DMs, but IF we ever played 2 wingers it would allow our FBs to push on and it allows our wingers to push on while the 2 DMs cover the gaps left by the FBs.

But against yard dog teams like we faced on Sunday, only 1 DM is needed.

I think Pienaar is done, can't see him being a regular starter again. I also can't see why he persists with 2 DM's every game, McCarthy in the DM role is fine against most opposition, with Besic being a bit more creative. 2 DM's against bottom of the league at home, sigh.

The problem is, we have 4 number 6s, not a single number 8, Barry and McCarthy are 100% 6s, Gibson is borderline 8 and Besic, I personally think could play anywhere, number 6, number 8, number 10. But we have lacked a REAL number 8/10 all season, Ross could do it, with ease, but sadly hes not performing.

An Arteta 08, Moutinho 11 or Gourcuff 11 would be ideal.
