Disney have confirmed that they have required Lucasfilm Ltd which includes the rights for the Star Wars franchise.

The companies have targeted a 2015 release for Star Wars: Episode 7 and plan future movies based on the movies’ most iconic franchises

This has come completely out of the blue, what are your thoughts on this news?

I'm open minded. I didn't mind the prequels even if they weren't a patch on the original 3 (I'm no fanboy though).

I liked the prequels, and yes whilst I am a younger viewer, I was religiously watching the originals before I ever saw one of the new ones.

But no. Just no.

2nd and 3rd are alright but the first one is dreadful, they spend most of the film looking for a part for their buggy or whatever, im not really that into star wars, but that 1st prequel was just a poor film in my opinion
