Im in favour of this, it makes me cringe when the press ask the hillsborough family groups what they thnk of the idea and suprsingly they all oppose it.
I fell sorry for the family groups when they get that question, its as if they are being used.

hillsborough was a unique sad event, we should learn lessons from it and improve standing, an out right ban is not the answer.

I agree mate, it's the media trying to feed off something. Not right at all.

It frustrates me that this thing is being attacked by members of the JFT96 campaign. That was not caused by standing, it was caused by poor policing and overcrowding, both of which can be controlled safely. Policing and safety standards have improved massively since then.

They should look at the Kop first.

However, I am against standing personally.....

If it's done properly I don't see why it wouldn't be a fantastic thing to do. In terms of facilities, surely the Park End would be able to cope with the extra numbers with a bit of rearranging. It would help with atmosphere and bring extra revenue to a lot of football clubs which are struggling financially.

Its all well and good having a standing area, they need to make it cheap as well. and all ticket. anything over £20 a ticket is bad, id say £15. you will get a great atmosphere in the lower gladys is its all standing and cheap to get it

But then the club would lose a f*** load of money. If it does happen it will cost the same, maybe slightly less than a seated area.

they should break even. but it will bring in a younger crowd = more atmosphere/singing. which sometimes brings a performance out of players. im gonna sound old now. but i remember in the 80's we had a song for every player and they got sung as they was warming up pre match, so that got the crowd rocking before kick off.
