I'd love to know how many (if any) had the plums to tell Sam they didn't want to stick around, after their one on one meetings.

I would hope the conversation was the other way around, and Sam was telling the ones who he doesn't fancy that they're going.

Im not sure about the idea of a Baines/ Williams Hybrid!? I suppose if he had the power, strength and heading of Williams, with the pace, skill, pens and free kicks of Baines, he would be fairly unstoppable!

Out of that list though, I would only get rid of; McCarthy, Besic and Mirrallas.

You need a squad in modern football, not just a starting 11 and 5 on the bench. Also it’s not like in Fifa where you can easily sell 10 players and sign 10 players in a January transfer window

1 -- It was tongue in cheek but I don't mind any/all of those players being loaned/sold...I'll even add in some kids like browning, pennington etc. Of course we would need to sign 7 players so the turnover may be a bit much but that didn't stop us in the summer lol
