Co hosts Poland also qualified automatically for the tournament and as such, deprive me of my opening paragraph, the filthy rotters. As such, I'm going to talk about sausages (settle down at the back), how sh*t "the Poznan" is when done by anyone other than Lech Poznan, how mental the Slask Wroclaw fans were when they played Dundee United last summer and how many of the buggers seem to be living in Aberdeen at the moment.

Arsenal's Wojciech Szczęsny seems to be first choice keeper these days. Despite being as commanding of his penalty area as a henpecked husband, he's an excellent shot stopper and the Poles will look to him to help keep things tight at the back. The only other UK based player in the 23 is Celtic forward Paweł Brożek, on loan from Trabzonspor who has made the princely total of three first team appearances for the Parkhead men.

Jock's player to watch is Jakub Błaszczykowski, for no other reason than his name is delightfully Polish and ridiculously hard to pronounce. He also plays for Borussia Dortmund so he must be pretty decent. Wiki him if you want to know anything else.

Prediction
Quarter finals. I fancy Poland to finish second in the group, but a possible quarter final against Germany will ensure there won't be a host victory this summer.
