Squad depth

After dissapointing deadline day and Rooney news I force my self to think something else.

Initial thought is that we have lots of "dead wood" in the squad but is it rather necessary to have all these outcasts that we can cope with europe and tramp through this hellish marsh of fixtures?

We have lots of fringe players (MgCV8, Mirallas, Lennon etc..)but clearly we have lots of quality too.

Mixed feelings.

I believe there is very little.

We are an injury to Pickford away from playing Stekkers in goal, as Robles has been ousted.

An injury to Keane away from playing the infamous Jags/Williams partnership.

An injury to Baines away from playing Martina at left back.

An injury to Rooney or DCL from having the least potent attacking force in the league, if we don't already.

Oh and now Koeman has fallen out with Kev so our only wingers are Lennon and new boy Vlasic.

Squad wise I think we are as well off as our neighbours.

They just have much better players up front and a bit more youth in the centre of defence.

Midfield is easily as good if not better as theirs.
