According to the newspaper, 'The Mirror', Both Tottenham and Blackburn will make a cut-price approach to sign Everton striker James Beattie.

It is also widely reported that Martin Jol's Tottenham made an approach in a swap deal for out-of-favour Egyptian striker Mido for the Everton striker before the January transfer window was shut.

Since his £6m signing, James Beattie has disappointingly failed to live up to his valuation and expectations and reports claim he could be allowed to leave for around half the fee paid.

So we could even swop the prick, just hope that he will find the net before the end of next month from outside the penalty area because it will be a year without an outfield goal. I'd have swopped him for three tins of spam and a black banana:mad:
