Poor old Africa. :( Mind you, most of the net is absolute f**king trash, so.... :P

Iceland amazed me. By 2008 95% were online. WTF do they chat about? Herring and clubbing seals?

I may have chatted a few up after a couple of pints back in the 70's. Don't drink and pull, it's wrong. Your mates never let things like that go.

Now my herring's going.

Cyber sex. That is what people in Iceland use it for. And we should take a leaf out of their book if you ask me.

8mill in the UK but only 2 mill in China.
30mill + in the States. No wonder we get a fricking speed drop when you bastards plug in. Now nob off our cyber space and take your damn Macdonalds franchises with you.

93% told the Icelandic government to [Poor language removed] in Saturday's referendum on paying Britain and Holland back the £3 billion. I think that's a Scandinavian riot. :P

That's the 1998 figures mate. Run the slide show at the bottom of the page. China 298,000,000 now (= to a suburb of Beijing :P)

The results don't sit that well with me to be honest.

It states that 46,683,900 UK people are online, and yet we have less than 25 million households, of which 3.3 million households have no income, and a population of just over 61 million. 20% of the population, or 1 in 5, are under 16, and the same figure applies to those of retirement age or over.
That leaves only 60% of the population that are employed, and though I don't have a figure for employment outlets, this figure would be considerably smaller.

Nielson online reckons there are just under 49 million online users.

Sorry, but not having any of it lol. :)

'Users online' is not defined. Maybe they're including stuff like schools/libraries (kids/library card holders that have access to the net)?
