I like it. I'm no stranger to streamed music, as I've been a Rhapsody user for years, but I like the software on Spotify, it's clean easy to use and FAST. Also I like the ability to interface with facebook and other spotify members. This was one of the great things about the original Napster. Being able to share playlists and music with others is pretty cool.

Has anyone here got Spotify Premium?

My iPod is dead and I was thinking of filling the gap with this. I would mainly be using this on my phone when I'm driving etc. I've just got a few queries about it though.

Is the connection reliable and therefore suitable for mobile use?

Does it use much of your data allowance? I have 750mb a month and currently use about 500mb of that.

Does it use your battery life up much more than normal usage would?

Just signed up for 30 days free trial on my iPad, have to say I'm very impressed, loads Of reasons why am late on this bit it's really amazing.

£9.99 a month seems good, the price of a single CD really!

The free version is getting progressively worse. First they gave you a usage limit at 20hrs, then it went to 10hrs, and now you can only listen to the same song 5 times in a month and the albums don't even play in order any more.

I might purchase a NUS Extra card as you can get the premium subscription for £5 a month, which is ace really considering you can use it on your phone online and offline, so you don't use all your data usage when not on a Wifi connection.

About three meg per song mate.

That's a fair bit considering you're only streaming it.

Let's say 5 songs a day average, that's 15mb, 30 days a month, that's 450mb a month in total and my allowance is 750mb so I'd be running pretty close to my limit with all the browsing and stuff on top. A very good feature that offline mode.

If you've got an iPhone you could try Onavo. I use it and save about 30% of my data usage every month. There's an Android app too.

I remember Spotify when it had no restrictions but a few adverts every now and then.

Those were the days...
